Tour to the Nevado del Ruiz: On this tour, you will enjoy an incredible view of the frailejones, the páramo ecosystem, and a beautiful panoramic view of the colossal Nevado del Ruiz.

Important information: The Nevado del Ruiz has been under yellow alert for several years. For this reason, visitors are only allowed up to the Tumbas sector, where it is unlikely that you will find snow.

NOTE: You will pay this amount, and if more people join the group, we will apply the discount on the day of the tour to the remaining balance. If you would like to go in a private vehicle, you must pay an additional $60.000 COP per person.

• Meeting point in Manizales at 6:00 AM (bus terminal or hotel pickup if you're staying in Manizales)
• Visit to Laguna Negra at 7:10 am
• Breakfast near the páramo, approx. 7:20 am
• Entrance to the park and visits to the following sectors: Aguacerales, Arenales, Tumbas
• Lunch at 12:30 pm
• Entrance to the hot springs at 2:30 pm (2 hours)
• Return to Manizales (6:00 pm)

📋 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

• How long is the hike? The tour is done mostly by car, since the volcano has been under yellow alert since 2012. You will only get off at certain points to walk and take photos.
• Can I see snow at Nevado del Ruiz? It is unlikely to see snow, as access is only permitted up to the Tumbas sector.
• How many people travel in the vehicle? This depends on the season. Some vehicles have capacity for 4 people and others for up to 11 people.
