We recommend this excursion for people who: have hiking experience and do not have heart or lung conditions.

For these types of routes, it is essential to wear appropriate clothing such as: waterproof or quick-dry pants, thermal leggings, and a waterproof jacket. You can find these items in our online store.

Note: Please keep in mind that the success of reaching the summit also depends on the group, as if any person is unable to continue, everyone must return.

ITINERARY:

DAY 1:

• Departure from Manizales (6:00 am) or Pereira (5:00 am)
• Breakfast 7:00 am
• Acclimatization hike passing by Laguna Verde (4-hour hike).
• Lunch
• Equipment briefing
• Dinner
• Rest at the hotel

DAY 2:

• At 1:00 am, we take transport to the starting point where the hike begins
• Summit attempt at 2:00 am (10-hour hike)
• Return to the starting point to take transport (2:00 pm).
• Arrival time 5:00 pm

📋 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

• ⚠️ What happens if one person in my group cancels? If a member cancels, the others must cover the corresponding cost according to our updated price table.
• 🏢 Which company operates the tour? Initially Rutas de los Andes (RNT 179451), with valid REPSE training from National Parks. In some cases, groups join with other agencies that also have all the required documentation.
• 🥾 How many people per guide? A guide can accompany a maximum of 5 people. Please note that if any of them cannot continue the ascent, the guide must return with the entire group.
• 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Can I bring children? Yes, they can participate if they are over 15 years old. If they are not attending with their parents, they must present a signed authorization from them.
• ⏰ I arrive at 6 am, can we leave at that time? The tours depart at a maximum of 5:00 am, as we have a specific entry time for Los Nevados National Park, and there would not be enough time to arrive if we leave at 6:00 am.

🚫 RESTRICTIONS:

• People over 69 years old and children under 6 years old.
• Those with heart conditions.
• Those with respiratory problems.
• Those with any recent surgery.
• Pregnant women.

📜 PAYMENT POLICIES:

• To book the tour, a payment of 40% of the total value is required 💰
• The remaining 60% must be paid 8 days before the departure.
• Upon making the payment, please send the receipt via WhatsApp 📲💳.

⚖️ TOUR CANCELLATION POLICIES

To carry out these excursions, we must book transportation, food, accommodation, equipment, and permits in advance. These costs are financial commitments we acquire and are non-refundable for us. Therefore, we apply the following policies:

• More than 45 days before: You can reschedule without penalty. If you prefer to cancel, a 30% retention applies (70% is refunded).
• 30 to 44 days before: A 30% retention of the total value applies. If you wish to reschedule, a 15% penalty applies.
• 15 to 29 days before: An 80% retention of the total value applies. If you wish to reschedule, a 50% penalty applies.
• 14 days or less (includes No Show): No refund applies (100% retention). If you wish to reschedule, an 80% penalty applies.

The additional cost for foreigners without Colombian nationality is $45,000 COP. This covers the extra fee to access national parks.
